We are very excited about the V and A exhibition starting on the 17th April.
The Grace Kelly – Style Icon exhibition will show the development of her wardrobe, from Hollywood starlet to Princess of Monaco. there will be about 50 outfits, including the dress she wore to accept her Oscar in 1955, a selection of Haute Couture gowns, and her pearl encrusted lace wedding dress.
Grace Kelly is one of the classic style icons, along with Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Onnassis, who knew how to dress to impress; but not with flamboyance, rather with neat lines, well cut figures and simple accessories, such as a string of pearls to enhance their natural beauty.
Expect a revival of 50’s hollywood glamour as we relive the beauty and style of this icon.
The best thing is that we are mearly a stones throw away from the V and A, on Beauchamp Place, so I’m sure we will be making a number of visits…
