It’s a colour, texture, natural beauty feast as well as a hay fever sufferer’s worst nightmare… it’s The Chelsea Flower Show!
Budding (excuse the pun!) designers have been fighting it out with trowel and spade to create the best flower display possible, with this years show looking like it might be the best yet. Upside down flower beds and brightly fire coloured Lupins, of which CDPearls particularly favoured the Warrior ‘Gladiator’ type, are among the eye catching collections on show.
If you were unable to purchase a ticket to the CFS, you still have a chance to check out some spectacular floral creations on show in Sloane Square and Beauchamp Place.
Below our Pearl Team have put together their top 3 floral window displays to check out this Bank Holiday Weekend.
Firstly…The Coleman Douglas Pearl window! Controversially our front window is not covered in flowers, instead it has been taken over with a multitude of multi-coloured butterflies feasting on pearl nectar! Come check it out at 42 Beauchamp Place, London, SW3 1NX.
Keeping the pearl jewellery colours down to a minimum, the black and white pearl necklaces, pearl earrings and pearl bracelets are perfect for all ‘My Fair Lady’ events, of which several are coming up (Ascot, Wimbledon, Henley, Glynbourne…).
The next window display which caught the eye of our Pearl Company was the LK Bennett floral scene, located on the Kings Road.
It was a Cinderella extravaganza complete with a floral pumpkin, mice, The Gown, story book and ‘glass’ slipper.
Just down the road from the Cinderella window scene, you step into Alice’s Wonderland, complete with over oversized pot, white rabbit and ‘mad hatter’!
Walk round the corner and you discovered the HUGE Alice in Wonderland pink flamingos casually standing outside Kate Spade.
So…what’s your favourite window?!
